Der Tunnelblick: Koroška – Steiermark / Kärnten – Štajerska / Styria - Carinthia

What's it about?

In reference to the planned opening of the Koralmtunnel in 2026, the Pavelhaus is organizing the exhibition "Der Tunnelblick - von Hubschraubern Erinnerung und viel Sprachlichkeit" (Tunnel Vision - Helicopters, Memory, and Language). Artists from the regions of Styria and Carinthia are engaging in an artistic discourse about the new connection between the two federal states. At the same time, the exhibition explores the historical and cultural ties between the regions and investigates which memory gaps still exist. Together with the Graz Initiative for Peace and Neutrality (GIFFUN) and the Nagasaki-Brescia Kaki Tree Project for Europe association, a kaki tree will be planted in the garden of the Pavelhaus as a symbol of peace. Admission is free.
