Guided Nature Walk: Recognizing Invasive Plant Species

What's it about?

Due to high demand, the city of Leibnitz, together with the Styrian Mountain and Nature Guard, is once again inviting the public to an informative nature walk on October 31, 2026. The focus will be on so-called neophytes – invasive plant species that are spreading in our native flora and can disrupt the ecological balance. Learn from experts how to correctly identify these plants, what impact they have on the environment, and how to handle them sensibly in your own garden. * When: October 31, 2026, at 09:00 AM * Meeting point: Im Kneipp-Park (Augasse 21) * Duration: approximately 1.5 to 2 hours Participation is free of charge. Registration can be made with Tina Muchitsch at 03452/82 423-126 or tina.muchitsch@leibnitz.at. Join us for a walk! We look forward to your participation and an engaging exchange.
