What's it about?
For over 20 years, "Austria's funniest teacher" has been collecting amusing anecdotes from the "school grind" in front of snotty teenagers on hard classroom benches. In four programs not yet ready for the Matura exam, he tested the resilience of his audience's laughing muscles on cabaret stages throughout Austria. Now the time is ripe for a "Best of 20 Years of Educational Cabaret" (directed by Marion Dimali). In his "Stundenwiederholung" (Lesson Repetition), Ferner ignites a cabaret fireworks display of education and, in his usual cheerful frontal teaching style, pulls legendary punchlines out of his sleeve. He repeatedly breaks conference confidentiality and mercilessly pokes fun at helicopter parents, self-proclaimed education experts, students, colleagues, and himself. The winner of the "Großer NÖ Kabarett- und Comedypreis" skillfully switches between his self-imposed educational mission and the madness of life and work he has experienced. He invites all those who already know "Fessor Ferner" to the "Stundenwiederholung" of the funniest topics from his previous cabaret curricula, with a renewed guarantee of laughter. And those who don't know him yet can, in a compact form, end their previous humorous educational gap by attending Andreas Ferner's "Best of" program for the first time. But beware: permanent diaphragm tremors are strongly warned against!
