Born in Moscow in 1970, a classically trained violinist and based in Vienna for many years, Aliosha BIZ uniquely combines Jewish, Slavic, and Viennese influences. With subtle humor and musical virtuosity, he finds endearing clichés in every tradition – and uses them as a starting point for clever, entertaining stories. With his first cabaret program "Der Fiddler ohne Ruf", Aliosha BIZ immediately impressed audiences beyond the concert stage. Since then, he has been equally in demand as a Klezmer virtuoso, world musician, and cabaret artist. Engagements have taken him to the Burgtheater, Volkstheater, and Theater an der Wien, as well as to numerous festivals.
