When the scent of cinnamon, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine drifts through the streets of Bad Waltersdorf, a very special time begins in the Thermal & Volcano Land: The GenussReise (Gourmet Journey) during Advent invites visitors to linger, marvel, and enjoy – with one of the most atmospheric Christkindl markets in the region. A festival for all the senses – handcrafted with heart and soul, from the festively decorated town center to the lovingly staged Wichtelwanderweg (Elf Walk) and artisanal treasures. Regional delicacies, creative craftsmanship, and musical performances create a special Advent atmosphere. The market will be officially opened on Friday, December 5th – a spectacular tethered balloon will provide an unforgettable start above the rooftops of Bad Waltersdorf.
