Four decades in the service of music: Singer-songwriter Chris Watzik celebrates his 40th stage anniversary in 2026. The Styrian musician, singer, and guitarist has been performing for 40 years in Austria and beyond. What began in 1985 has developed into a multifaceted career that included genres such as rock, pop, and funk, ultimately culminating in Austropop. Initially active as a solo artist, Chris Watzik founded the singer-songwriter band "SOLOzuVIERT" in 2009, with which he toured for 11 years and released 5 albums. After the band disbanded in 2020, the Styrian released a new solo album and has since been touring again with his own band. The 40th stage anniversary is an occasion for Watzik to reflect and look forward: "Four decades on stage, countless stories, encounters, and of course, a lot of music."
