For the self-taught Josef Eibl (born 1957, lives in Niederkappel), every picture holds a secret that is inexpressible and therefore needs a picture. What is seen in the picture is the meaning, and that is the challenge for those who see. For the project "Courage for Peace", Josef Eibl painted the villages of Lembach in very reduced forms with acrylic paints on wooden panels.
