ART MACHINE Präsentation 12

What's it about?

Saturday, October 31, at 11:00 AM at Hauptplatz Pöllau, at the Art Machine. For this second edition in 2026, we asked artists from this year's summer workshops to come back to Pöllau with their series of miniatures. Seven of them took on the challenge of translating artistic concepts into the small format of a cigarette box. Without specific content guidelines, they created series of works that deal with themes such as sustainability, recycling, and threatened biodiversity in nature. Julia Bauernfeind draws attention to the declining biodiversity with her portraits of songbirds. Eva Itzlinger has a proposal for reducing plastic waste, with an eye for beauty and a wink. Lym Moreno discovers possibilities for new works in the remnants of her paper art. Helga Piffl finds new ways of designing by reusing her leftover paints. Michael Roher has adapted various existing works into a pocket-sized format.
