"Four Colors of Love" Dance Theatre Piece New Production / Idea: Anastasia Ferrer September 20, 2026 at Orpheum-Graz A contemporary dance theatre about intimacy, power, and emotion The Story In an elegant society foyer of a photo exhibition, three couples meet, accompanied by two mysterious figures - a dancer in black and a dancer in white. Each couple is characterized by an archetypal emotion, which is also color-coded and gradually revealed in flashbacks: Harmony and Joy - YELLOW Conflict - BURGUNDY Submissive Devotion and Power - BLUE The dancer in RED, who represents passion and intense feelings, plays a central role. She is not part of a fixed couple but acts as a catalyst that changes relationships and destabilizes the fragile balance between the figures. For the new production on September 20, 2026, the first part of the piece will be particularly expanded and deepened: The figures in black and white move more into the foreground and embody the tension between darkness and light. From this contrast, a transformation develops, in the course of which the neutral black dancer becomes the dancer in RED - the embodiment of passion, longing, and emotional transgression. This new level will be accompanied by two additional music pieces by Astor Piazzolla, which will particularly appeal to lovers of Tango Argentino and give the production additional emotional intensity. In the course of the evening, secret glances and accidental touches arise, intensifying the attraction between the figures. Jealousy, doubt, and seduction mix among the couples, while relationships increasingly dissolve and rearrange. In the end, the dancer in RED remains alone - a symbol of the isolating power of passion. Black and white linger like shadow and light, while the figures must confront their own longings and uncertainties. "Four Colors of Love" unfolds a poetic image of the diversity of human relationships and invites reflection on the power of emotions and the nature of love.
