GENESIS - Lightshow + Organ Concert
What's it about?
On selected performances, GENESIS is accompanied by an impressive organ concert. The powerful sounds of the organ fill the space and blend with the spherical soundscapes and large-scale projections to create an extraordinary audiovisual experience. The interplay of the monumental sound of the organ, moving lights, and the impressive architecture gives the journey to the origin of life a special depth. Graz – Herz-Jesu-Kirche: The Herz-Jesu Church in Graz is one of the most important buildings of late Historicism in Styria. Built in the style of neo-Gothic brick Gothic, the structure impresses with its distinctive brick architecture and the 109.6-meter-high tower – the third tallest church tower in Austria. A special feature is the two-story complex with lower and upper churches, which was created due to the location of the building site. Inside, a large, largely column-free nave with high vaults and a clear spatial effect opens up. The church also houses one of the few largely enclosed ensembles of neo-Gothic stained glass windows in Austria. The interplay of pointed arch forms, tracery, stained glass, and the characteristic brick structure shapes the interior and makes the Herz-Jesu Church an outstanding example of historicist sacred architecture.
