In the Bromriesen tunnel, you can feel how it must have been like to earn your bread under the heaviest conditions. In the dark, equipped only with headlamps, you will be guided by the tunnel guide through the tunnel system via ladders. The old mining methods, such as fire-setting, chisel work, and blasting, are still recognizable today. The unique experience of being 'underground' allows one to deeply immerse in the mystical life of the miners. The interplay of awe and a tingling in the stomach has prompted many to enter the mountain again: Glück auf! You can't feel history more impressively! The guided tunnel hike through the Silberberg mining tunnel “Bromriesen” is an experience in any weather. Sturdy ankle-high mountain shoes(!), durable pants, sure-footedness, and fitness are required — an alpine hike with steep ascent. Poles are recommended for the descent.
