What's it about?

The musical and the Swedish film of the same name by Kay Pollak tell the story of conductor Daniel Daréus, who returns to his childhood village after a heart attack. There he takes over the direction of the church choir and inspires with his unconventional methods. But not everyone in the village likes the fresh wind blowing through the village, and he comes into conflict with the entrenched structures. Musical Güssing succeeded in obtaining the rights for the German-language performance of this hit musical. It will be staged by artistic director Marianne Resetarits. The most famous song from the musical is "Gabriela's Song". The musical will be performed on the outdoor stage at KUZ-Güssing, indoors in case of bad weather!
