What's it about?

Folklore gala on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Kolo Slavuj ensemble and the 40th anniversary of the children's folklore group Piplići. Today I am an enthusiastic member of Kolo Slavuj. However, in my heart, I will always remain a little Piplić. (Philipp Stoisits) Wonders are born in the nest, often many wonders. In the nest in Schwindgasse, where the 'Nightingingales' (Slavuji) played and danced Kolo for 15 years, the 'Piplići' (Chicks) were born 40 years ago. The children's folklore group was created as an offering for children and adolescents in the big city to learn Croatian folk dances and music, to move rhythmically, and to make social contacts. Over the years, several Piplići also moved to Kolo Slavuj; thus, the Piplići are indeed a permanent part of the 55-year history of the folklore ensemble Kolo Slavuj. From the circle of the little ones, they moved to the Kolo, the circle of the grown-ups. But history shows us that also many other things...
