Jazz & Vino – ftm TRIO & Weingut Mariel

What's it about?

The ftm TRIO consists of Tome Jankovic (bass and vocals), Martin Wagner (piano), Johannes Gungl (drums and vocals). The band's spectrum ranges from pop, jazz, and soul to comforting ballads. With great sensitivity and inventiveness, traditional Croatian folk songs as well as Burgenland Croatian and international classics are reinterpreted. Occasionally, original compositions also mix into the band's stylistically broad repertoire. The focus is on unconditional devotion to music and the joy of improvisation. For the band's 15th anniversary, there will be a "Jazz & Vino special" with numerous musical guests and top wines from Weingut Mariel from Wulkaprodersdorf.The strong cohesion in the Mariel family is the foundation of the winery. Here, fresh fruity white wines and enjoyable powerful red wines are produced, preserving the identity of the Wulka Valley. Each family member contributes their ideas and inspirations to the business, so that the quality of the wines always brings joy to wine lovers and connoisseurs. The red wines are exclusively stored in oak barrels. The classic reds mature in large storage barrels, which ensure ideal oxygen exchange. Richly structured red reserves develop for 14 to 18 months in noble barrique barrels. The white wines predominantly mature in steel tanks to best preserve their fruit and freshness. However, some whites, such as the Chardonnay Marienkapelle, are also found in noble wooden barrels (acacia and oak) to gain even more structure during the quiet maturation process. The careful selection of grapes and hand-picking at the ideal ripeness are the basis for the unique taste of Mariel wines.
