5th Blaufränkischland Marathon

What's it about?

The Blaufränkischland Marathon is entering its fifth round on October 3, 2026! The ideal event to combine the finest regional culinary delights with sporting activity! It's not necessarily about reaching the finish line in record time. Rather, the focus is on enjoying together in combination with exercise. SPECIAL FEATURE OF THE BLAUFRÄNKISCHLAND MARATHON A special highlight is the colorful field of participants: many runners compete in original costumes, ensuring lots of fun and good humor – also for the spectators. The most creative outfits will be awarded by a jury and rewarded with attractive prizes. So: Let your creativity run wild, slip into your favorite costume and experience the Blaufränkischland Marathon – where enjoyment, exercise and joie de vivre go hand in hand! FACTS ABOUT THE RACE When? Saturday, October 3, 2026 Where? Start and finish: Deutschkreutz, in front of the Neue Mittelschule Bib number distribution: Saturday, October 3 from 7:30 AM until 30 minutes before the start of the booked competition Start of the competitions (running or walking): from 08:30 AM Finish line closes: 4:00 PM COMPETITIONS & START TIMES 08:30 AM: Start block A - Marathon (42 km) 09:00 AM: Start block B - 1/2 Marathon (21.3 km) 09:30 AM: Start block C - 1/2 Marathon (21.3 km) 10:00 AM: Start block D - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km) 10:30 AM: Start block E - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km) 11:00 AM: Start block G - 1/4 Marathon (10.4 km) 12:00 PM: Start block H - 1/8 Marathon (5.7 km) At the enjoyment stations along the respective routes, there will be wine tastings and culinary delicacies for all participants, as well as water and grape juice. On the marathon and half marathon routes, there will also be classic refreshment stations with water and iso-drinks.
