What's it about?
WILDE ZEIT EP Der Nino aus Wien writes: what an EP. Wilde Zeit. I will never forget it. Everything in the room. Cold, heat, lightning. Window lying. 7th district. Downtown Vienna, almost. 5 weeks, I think more like 4 months. That's how it sounds now, that's how it was. Manu captured it perfectly. Really engaged with it. Songs written in January. All in January 2025. With some time and surgeries. With trips to the basement. With strolling around. Doodles in the pockets. We all learned something. The first song is absolutely my favorite. My favorite since Taxi Driver, at least. Never done before. The second came to me like a dove. When I wanted to go home one night. Fits. The third about addiction... my grandparents always said: "The addiction is a dog." Interesting characters. The fourth song was written on the same day as the second. That's rare. Out with you! Spring-like it is! It’s great to make an EP after 19 albums. A cool format. Like a short story. About a quarter of an hour, as long as you normally stand at Tichy. I can listen to it myself. Love the sound. I have a connection to all the songs. Long days and nights that passed quickly. Time flows. A coherent thing. I enjoyed telling the story. Sitting, standing, and walking. Thanks to Pedro, my room cactus, for the silent presence. If he didn't like the music, he would have already died. "It's good that you were here to be." The music is at least as important to me as the "texts". A "you" can mean many things. I love writing songs. "When I left, I was 16. And at 37, I stand here." 9/10 PS: this EP is for me a cousin, or a half-sister, of the Nino aus Wien production "Adria" from 2016. They are somehow related, even if different in character, behavior, and appearance.
