Heinz Marecek - Erwin Steinhauer

What's it about?

The successful program "Was lachen Sie?" with Heinz Marecek and Erwin Steinhauer is returning! The two full-blooded comedians Heinz Marecek and Erwin Steinhauer are bringing their hit show "Was lachen Sie?" back to the stage in 2026 on the occasion of Heinz Marecek's 80th birthday on September 17, 2025. The program, which was performed over 120 times across Austria and sold out more than 25 years ago, offers not only the classic double conference — with Steinhauer as the "Gscheitem" (smart one) and Marecek as the "Blödem" (silly one) — but also solo pieces by the two legendary actors. The comeback is driven by years of stage experience, pointed humor, and a deep appreciation for Vienna's cabaret tradition. Audience members can expect an evening that makes them laugh but also encourages reflection — an event not to be missed.
