The Province of Burgenland and the Burgenland Provincial Parliament invite you to the “Open Day” at the Landhaus in Eisenstadt on September 13. The “Day of Democracy” will also be celebrated, which is why this day will also be dedicated to democracy, citizen proximity and togetherness. For Governor Hans Peter Doskozil, “the Open Day offers an excellent opportunity to obtain information about politics at the provincial level, to gain insights into the administration with its diverse range of services and advice, and to engage in conversation with each other. In addition, visitors can get an idea of the outstanding achievements of our emergency organizations. I cordially invite everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and experience an unforgettable day in and in front of the Eisenstadt Landhaus.” For Provincial Parliament President Astrid Eisenkopf, September 13 is “not only a good opportunity to visit the Landhaus and take a look behind the scenes. It also offers the chance to bring the heart of democracy – the Provincial Parliament – closer to the people. Especially in a time when crises, conflicts and social tensions are increasing, it becomes clear how valuable democratic values are. Freedom, co-determination and equality are not self-evident. Therefore, it is also important for the population to see and understand where and how our democracy is defended, lived and upheld.” The “Open Day” will begin on September 13 at 10:00 AM. An extensive program awaits visitors both inside and in front of the Landhaus. In the Landhaus Alt, government offices and the Provincial Parliament can be visited. Numerous information stands from the office and provincial companies provide information on topics such as housing subsidies, family subsidies, consumer protection, care, education, energy, mobility, culture and health. The Provincial Security Center will also be represented. In addition, emergency organizations will present themselves with a show of services in the outdoor area. There will also be a concert by the Burgenland Military Band in front of the Landhaus. A children's and cultural program will also be offered, and of course, food and drinks will be provided in the Landhaus kitchen with a musical accompanying program. To make it easier for visitors to arrive, a free shuttle service will be set up (to and from the parking lots of EZE and Burgenland Energie). The program will officially end at 4:00 PM.
