Rottenburg Cathedral Boys' Choir The Rottenburg Cathedral Boys' Choir was founded in 1960 on the initiative of the then cathedral choirmaster Harald Kugler. The young choir developed over the following years through consistent development work into the capable and versatile sound body it is today. Since 2016, the direction of all the choirs of the Cathedral Boys' Choir has been in the hands of Domkapellmeister Robert Kopf. Their main task is the musical design of the services in the Bishop's Church in Rottenburg, alternating with the Cathedral Choir and the Girls' Choir. Like all the choirs at the cathedral, the Cathedral Boys' Choir also maintains the entire Western sacred choral literature, from Gregorian chant to modern times. Currently, the choirs of the Cathedral Boys' Choir offer a musical home to around 100 boys and young men. In addition to liturgical duties, the Rottenburg Cathedral Boys' Choir actively performs in concerts both domestically and abroad. Venues have included significant churches such as the Dresden Frauenkirche, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, and Hamburg's Michel. Robert Kopf, Cathedral Cantor Born in Rottweil in 1979, Robert Kopf studied school and church music as well as conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. From 2002, he taught in an artistic tutorial in theory and conducting. Since 2011, he has been a study counselor at Spohn-Gymnasium Ravensburg and a lecturer for children's choir conducting, children's voice training, choral voice training, choral practice, and choral piano playing at the Hochschule des Saarlandes and the State University of Music Trossingen. For his diverse cultural engagement, he was awarded the Culture Prize by the Rottweil Cultural Foundation in 2010. In 2012, he took over the artistic direction of the Rottweil Münster Singers' Boys' Choir, one of Germany's oldest boys' choirs. Since September 2016, he has been serving as Cathedral Cantor in Rottenburg. Georg Oberauer, Cathedral Organist Georg Oberauer has been the Cathedral Organist at Rottenburg Cathedral since April 2023, accompanying various choir groups during cathedral services. He also teaches as a Professor i.K. at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Rottenburg. From 2014 to 2016, he was the chief organist at the Hildesheim Cathedral. He received his first organ lessons from Andreas Gassner and began studying as a young student at age 15 in the organ class of Elisabeth Ullmann at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 1998, he won first prize at the "Prima la Musica" competition in Linz and the "Promotion Prize for Art" from the Lions Club "Pongau-Höch". He studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, earning a Master of Church Music A, a diploma in instrumental pedagogy, and a diploma in artistic training with a focus on organ. He received important artistic impulses in his secondary piano studies from Péter Nagy (Budapest). He also studied Master of Musicology at the University of Tübingen. A lively concert activity, including international festivals, has taken him to Germany, Austria, France, Poland, and Israel, including multiple collaborations with the Stuttgart State Orchestra and the Stuttgart Philharmonic. In 2013, a notable radio recording for SWR of Maurice Duruflé's "Requiem op. 9" in organ solo version with the chamber choir "Figure humaine" under the direction of Denis Rouger was produced. Alice Fuder, Soprano Soprano Alice Fuder studied diploma singing and school music at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen with Prof. Andreas Reibenspies, followed by a "Master Oper" at the Stuttgart Opera School with Prof. Ulrike Sonntag. She gained her first operatic experiences as a guest at the Augsburg State Theatre as "Barbarina" and "Amalia-Bernadette," as well as in productions at the Stuttgart Opera School at the Wilhelma Theatre.
