Rottenburg Cathedral ChoirboysThe Rottenburg Cathedral Choirboys were founded in 1960 on the initiative of the then Cathedral Choirmaster Harald Kugler. In the following years, the young choir developed through consistent development work into the capable and versatile ensemble it is today.Since 2016, the direction of all choirs of the Cathedral Choirboys has been in the hands of Cathedral Cantor Robert Kopf.Their main task is the musical arrangement of services in the Rottenburg Cathedral, alternating with the Cathedral Choir and the Girls' Cantorei. Like all choirs at the Cathedral, the Cathedral Choirboys are also responsible for cultivating the entire Western sacred choral literature, from Gregorian chant to modern music.Currently, the choirs of the Cathedral Choirboys offer a musical home to around 100 boys and young men.In addition to their liturgical service, the Rottenburg Cathedral Choirboys maintain an active concert schedule at home and abroad. Stations here included important churches such as the Frauenkirche in Dresden, Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, and St. Michael's Church in Hamburg.Robert Kopf, Cathedral CantorRobert Kopf, born in Rottweil in 1979, studied school and church music as well as conducting at the Trossingen University of Music. From 2002, he taught there as part of an artistic tutorship in the fields of theory and conducting. Since 2011, he has worked as a senior teacher at the Spohn-Gymnasium Ravensburg and as a lecturer for children's choir conducting, children's vocal training, choral vocal training, choir practice, and practical choral piano playing at the University of Saarland and the State University of Music Trossingen. For his diverse cultural commitment, he was awarded the Cultural Prize by the Rottweil Cultural Foundation in 2010. In 2012, he took over the artistic direction of the Rottweil Minster Choirboys and has since been responsible for one of Germany's oldest boys' choirs. Since September 2016, he has been working as Cathedral Cantor in Rottenburg.Georg Oberauer, Cathedral OrganistGeorg Oberauer has been Cathedral Organist at Rottenburg Cathedral since April 2023 and accompanies the various choir groups in the Cathedral services. In addition, he teaches as a professor i.K. at the University of Church Music in Rottenburg. From 2014 to 2016, he was principal organist of Hildesheim Cathedral.Georg Oberauer received his first organ lessons from Andreas Gassner, and from the age of 15, he studied as a young student in Elisabeth Ullmann's organ class at the University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum" in Salzburg. In 1998, he received first prize in the "Prima la Musica" competition in Linz and the "Art Promotion Award" from the Lions Club "Pongau-Höch".He studied Master Church Music A, Diploma Instrumental Pedagogy, and Diploma Artistic Training with a major in organ at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. He received important artistic impulses in his second major, piano, from Péter Nagy (Budapest). Furthermore, he studied Master Musicology at the University of Tübingen.An active concert schedule, also within the framework of international festivals, has led him to Germany, Austria, France, Poland, and Israel, including repeated collaborations with the Stuttgart State Orchestra and the Stuttgart Philharmonic. In 2013, a notable radio recording of Maurice Duruflé's "Requiem op. 9" in the organ solo version with the chamber choir "Figure humaine" under the direction of Denis Rouger was made for SWR.Alice Fuder, SopranoSoprano Alice Fuder studied diploma singing and school music at the Trossingen University of Music with Prof. Andreas Reibenspies and subsequently "Master Opera" at the Stuttgart Opera School with Prof. Ulrike Sonntag.She gained her first experience in opera as a guest at the Stadttheater Augsburg as "Barbarina" and "Amalia-Bernadette", as well as in the productions of the Stuttgart Opera School at the Wilhelma Theater.At the Easter Festival 2015 at the Festspielhaus Bade
