Pandoras Dream - Weltmusik
What's it about?
The sound project PANDORAS DREAM is a touching musical collaboration between Greek musician Andreas Paragioudakis, German double bassist Florian King, and Palestinian percussionist and vocal artist Tony Majdalani. This innovative project presents a unique fusion of soundscapes and songs based on the poem "After the Noise" by Swiss author and painter Lucie Schaeren. "After the Noise" explores profound themes of war and peace and invites the audience to engage with the emotional and societal impacts of these universal experiences. The musicians create an atmospheric soundscape that encourages reflection as well as offering comfort and hope. Andreas Paragioudakis brings his diverse musical influences and keen storytelling sense into the project, while Florian King adds delicate yet powerful accents with his double bass and electronic soundscapes. Tony Majdalani complements the ensemble with his unique percussion techniques and expressive voice, emphasizing the emotional depth of the texts. The combination of poetry and music in "After the Noise" creates an immersive experience that prompts reflection on the challenges and hopes in a conflict-affected world.
