One of the best fingerpicking guitarists, Peter Ratzenbeck, is back at Falkenhorst! The list of musicians with whom Ratzenbeck has already shared the stage is long and reads like a Who's Who of the European folk and blues scene: including Allan Taylor, Al Cook, Reinhard Mey, Hans Theessink, Michael Chapman, Colin Wilkie, Werner Lämmerhirt, Franco Morone, Andy Irvine. Musically, his love is unmistakably for Irish music, but New Age, folk, blues, baroque, and lute music are also not unfamiliar to him. For thirty years, the musician has lived a very down-to-earth life in the Waldviertel in a former old farmhouse, and in long winters and busy summers, he is inspired to create ever new moving original compositions. Sensitive yet full of power, he plucks the strings, striving to make every note resonate to the last nuance. Guitar and body form a symbiosis of movement, melodies, and chords. Peter presents himself to his audience in a sympathetic and approachable way; it just flows when Peter Ratzenbeck plays.
