Lecture: The Bearded Vulture in North Tyrol

The bearded vulture, one of the most fascinating birds of prey in the Alps, is returning to its original habitats after more than a hundred years. The lecture provides an overview of the biology and lifestyle of this species, its reliable identification, as well as the history and development of the reintroduction project in the Alps. Using current data, the lecture also presents population development, breeding success, and factors influencing the population in North Tyrol.
