"On the Beautiful Blue Earth" Symphonic Cabaret by Bernhard Petz The Symphonic Cabaret "On the Beautiful Blue Earth" satirically recounts current events in the style of Viennese Strauss and with the sound of a classical symphony orchestra. The suite consists of twelve independent musical pieces that, so to speak, provide a small overview of the most striking themes in our modern world. Austria, with its famous composers such as Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Mahler, and the Viennese Strauss family, offers far more than an unmistakable musical landscape and is known worldwide across all borders. With his compositions for this orchestral suite, Bernhard Petz aims to musically connect with this tradition and portray today's actually very crazy times in a bizarre and grotesque way with quite traditional melodies and musical forms such as waltz, polka, march, gallop, etc. Together with cabaret-style moderations, the "Bernhard Petz Cyberspace Orchestra" will present these musical pieces to the audience at the Breitenwang event center and open the Kulturzeit 2026. The "Bernhard Petz Cyberspace Orchestra" is a purely digital sound body that reproduces the orchestral sound of its scores using original samples. About the composer Bernhard Petz: Bernhard Petz, born in Ehrwald, studied music with a major in tuba in Innsbruck and Cologne. From 1994-1996, he was a tuba intern at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, and since 1997, he has been solo tubist with the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker Krefeld Mönchengladbach. In 2018, Bernhard Petz began composing and, in seven years, created numerous orchestral works, which he performed in their electronic version in his concert hall Bunker Güdderath as part of the "Die Herbstzeitlose" festival: "Diary of a War" Symphonic Poem "With the Eyes of His Mother" Oratorio for Solo Tuba, Orchestra, and Electronic Sounds "Orchestra Circus" Comic Symphony for Orchestra "On the Beautiful Blue Earth" Symphonic Cabaret "The Return from Lost Time" Symphonic Time Travel from Gregorian Chant to the Future In 2024, he composed three chamber music works, all of which premiered as part of Herbstzeitlose 2025: "Stradtvarius Dancla Suite" for violinist Linus Roth, UA Herbst 2025 "Degenerate Music 2025" for the Berlin Saxophone Quartet clair obscur, UA Herbst 2025 "An Austrian Mountain Suite" for the wind sextet Blasbarettis, UA Herbst 2025 He is currently working on a string quartet for the Minguet Quartet from Cologne and another wind sextet for the Blasbarettis. The Kulturforum Breitenwang, together with the cultural initiative Huanza, cordially invites you to the concert on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM in the VZ Breitenwang, Tauernsaal, to mark the opening of the Kulturzeit. Tickets in advance at the municipality of Breitenwang for 13 Euros; at the box office for 15 Euros, U20 free.
