Freikrippe in Imsterberg

What's it about?

Nativity scene in Imsterberg With the first Sunday of Advent on November 29, 2026, the Imsterberg nativity scene can be viewed. It is located on the village square opposite the community center (Ried 5) or in front of the Venetrast inn. The main figures made of stone pine wood, over a meter tall, adorn the nativity scene and will be displayed until Candlemas on February 2, 2027, in three changing scenes (search for shelter, birth of Jesus, and adoration of the Wise Men) in the winter nativity scene in Tyrolean style. The figures are created by a young wood sculptor, Manuel Egger-Budemair, from Prägraten. The nativity scene itself was built under the direction of Peter Riml from Wenns, with background painting, by Kippenfreunden (friends of the nativity scene) from Imsterberg.
