The exhibition at the Museum Kitzbühel presents the Schwarzsee as a natural habitat, recreational area, economic basis, and research object. Historical photographs, plans, and objects tell the story of the lake's tourist development, agriculture, fishing, and peat extraction, as well as its extraordinary biodiversity. At the same time, the exhibition looks to the future and addresses the question of how the balance between nature conservation and use can be maintained in the long term.
