1st Subscription Concert: Fauré Quartett: Pictures at an Exhibition
What's it about?
A masterpiece of music history in a surprisingly new sound form: The internationally renowned Fauré Quartett opens the subscription concerts in Kufstein with Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition". The arrangement for piano, violin, viola and cello created by Dirk Mommertz and Grigory Gruzman allows the famous cycle of pictures to be experienced anew: transparent and immediate in the quiet moments, dense and captivating in the great climaxes. Selected chamber music treasures pave the way for Mussorgsky's musical tour, which finally culminates in the monumental "Great Gate of Kiev". Before the concert, there will be an introduction to the concert program.
