The inventor of the sewing machine - Josef Georg Madersperger - has a museum dedicated to him in his birthplace in Kufstein, in Kinkstraße: the Madersperger Sewing Machine Museum in Kufstein. An audiovisual presentation reports on the life and work of Josef Georg Madersperger. Initially, only J. Madersperger knew about the usefulness of his machine. Nobody else was interested in acquiring his invention. So Madersperger donated his first functional sewing machine to the Polytechnic Institute in Vienna. Today, his invention is indispensable, and therefore the people of Kufstein have dedicated a museum to the inventor and his machine. Free admission - voluntary donation
