Prof. Dr. Rohit Arora, Director of the University Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, will discuss acute and chronic diseases as well as injuries of the musculoskeletal system and demonstrate how targeted medical and rehabilitative interventions can help reduce disabilities and limitations. In addition to clinical aspects, psychosocial consequences, prevention, and innovative therapy approaches will be examined. The perception and care are critically discussed. Pain, movement restrictions, muscle loss, misalignments, as well as psychosocial effects such as depression, isolation, and unemployment, can lead to disability in interaction with additional environmental factors. The goal is to show ways to primarily improve or sustainably strengthen participation and quality of life for injured people.
