What's it about?

Every year on the last Sunday in September, a celebration takes place at the Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe in Kramsach. With thousands of visitors, the event is one of Tyrol's largest traditional events.The Kirchtag (also called Kirtag, Kirmes, or Kirchweih) is held once a year, originally on the anniversary of the church consecration, which could also be the feast day of the church patron; later, as a general village festival at harvest time, it was often moved to autumn.The day begins with a field mass on the museum grounds, which is attended annually by numerous guests and locals. The service is musically accompanied by brass bands and singing clubs. Afterwards, music is played or sung in every farmhouse.Traditional handicrafts are very popular with guests.
