The ascent with the Smaragdbahn (chargeable, free with the Nationalpark SommerCard) already offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains.Once at the top, a scenic hike towards the Wildkogel summit begins. Step by step, a panorama unfolds, ranging from the striking three-thousand-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park to the gentle grassy mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps.
