42nd Hollersbach Farmers' Market
What's it about?
Every year on the first Sunday in October, the farmers' market takes place in Hollersbach at the time of the Almabtrieb (cattle drive). Numerous exhibitors offer bacon and sausage products as well as butter and cheese from the region. There are also handicraft products. The farmers serve regional culinary delicacies such as Kasnocken, Krapfen, and "Bladl". The highlight of the Hollersbach Farmers' Market is the festive parade, led by the Trachtenmusikkapelle (traditional costume music band). They are followed by the decorated animals and the Schnalzer (whip crackers) on their horses. Oldtimer tractors and the "Samerverein" conclude the parade.
