Heldenehrung
What's it about?
The Heldenehrung in Niedernsill is a traditional memorial ceremony in honor of the fallen heroes of the community. Organized by the Kameradschaftsbund, which is dedicated to preserving the memory of war victims, the event takes place at the village square and provides the local community with an opportunity to pause together and remember the fallen. Such Heldenehrungen have a long tradition in Austria and are an integral part of community life, especially around Allerseelentag (All Souls' Day) in November. The ceremonial setting at the village square of Niedernsill creates a dignified moment of silence and remembrance. All interested are warmly invited to participate in this traditional event.
