Dam tour at Mooserboden

What's it about?

Experience the myth of Kaprun and take a unique look behind the scenes of hydropower. Together with a guide, you will discover the impressive mountain world around the Mooserboden reservoir and the interior of the 107 m high Mooser dam. During the one-hour tour, you will learn exciting details about the history, construction and technology of Austria's most important power plant. Tip: Visit the free exhibition "Erlebniswelt Strom" directly at the end of the tour. With original exhibits, documents and photographs, it is the ideal complement to the guided tour.
