Historical Walk through Bad Gastein with Visit to the Elisabethquelle

What's it about?

Starting at the Gasteiner Museum, the route leads across the Wasserfallbrücke (Waterfall Bridge) to the Straubingerplatz, the historic main square of Bad Gastein. Where once guests arrived by horse-drawn post, this square now shines again in its old glory with the Grand Hotel Straubinger and the oldest hotel stone building, the Badeschloss. The walk then continues through the Thermal Springs Park, thematically exploring the discovery of the healing springs to the spa town of today. The tour concludes with a highlight: a visit to the early Gothic Nikolauskirche (St. Nicholas Church). The walk is conducted exclusively in German.
