What's it about?
With expert-guided tour! The more than 500-year-old farmstead offers visitors a comprehensive insight into rural life of past centuries. The monument farm "Maurergut" in the natural park community of Zederhaus is a typical Lungau farmstead, dating back to the late Middle Ages. All owners have been documented from 1509 to the present day. In addition to the living room, smoke kitchen, hayloft, and bedrooms, there is also the "Pfeifenberger Stube," dedicated to the native Zederhaus residents — the "Bishop of Lungau" Valentin Pfeifenberger and athletes Heimo and Rainer Pfeifenberger. A replica of a Zederhaus prayer pole made of silk flowers is also on display. The farm also includes a mill, a typical Lungau Troadkasten (storage shed), and a storage cellar. The old Zederhaus gravel press is exhibited as well, along with many other items.
