Kino: Ein Kuchen für den Präsidenten (MA)

What's it about?

Sensitive, dynamic, and full of life! Baking a cake for the president while the country is starving? From this simple premise, author and director Hasan Hadi develops a moving and bittersweet satire, in which childish innocence clashes with the harsh reality of an oppressed country. And in which humanity repeatedly achieves small but decisive victories. Award 2026 – Cannes Film Festival 2025, Iraq's submission for the 2026 Oscars Library / Mariapfarr Admission: €6, €7, €8
