What's it about?

At this year's Car-Free Day on September 18th from 10 AM to 5 PM, Bischofshofen is once again sending an important signal for environmentally friendly mobility. Bahnhofstraße and Franz-Mohshammer-Platz will be closed to motorized traffic, and a diverse program will be offered for all ages. It ranges from the Sindri Punch and Judy show to varied play and movement activities for children and young people, as well as safety and environmental topics. Also offered will be a scooter, bicycle, and wheelchair course, a sandbox, play stations, a bouncy castle, and a blind tent. The children's police will provide information on safety topics. In addition, a bicycle check and participation in a repair workshop are possible. The Citybus can be used free of charge all day.The municipality of Bischofshofen has already received several awards for its commitment to climate protection and energy efficiency. Among other things, the Klimabündnis and e5 municipality received the Austrian-wide Mobility Week Award and was included as a best-practice project in the European Mobility Week guidelines.The Maximilians Farmers' Market will provide culinary delights from 9 AM to 1 PM.The "Car-Free Day" is organized by the municipality of Bischofshofen. Participants include ARBÖ, the ChillBase youth meeting point, the State of Salzburg, the police inspection, Bike & Scheers, and the Bischofshofen Volunteer Fire Department.
