How the Gschütt Pass became a border and how this border still influences us today. The Gschütt Pass, as the border between the state of Salzburg and the Salzkammergut region, is at the center of the historical lecture. It is a story of cooperation and competition, of military conflicts and connecting trade. A historical development that still shapes us today! Starting from images from the Topothek Rußbach, speaker Dr. Michael Kurz, an expert in local history, takes us on an exciting journey through a turbulent past. The afternoon begins at 4 p.m. with the annual general meeting of the 'Georg Gimpl Archive.' The lecture will start after the general meeting, followed by an invitation to a cozy exchange at a buffet with regional farm products. The event is organized in cooperation with the Georg Gimpl Archive association. Admission: EUR 10, including buffet (free entry for members of the Georg Gimpl Archive).
