Maypole Felling

What's it about?

The traditional Maypole felling in Hintersee is a fixed highlight in the village's annual calendar and takes place on Kirtag (traditional fair) Monday. Residents and guests gather to fell the erected Maypole together \u2013 accompanied by brass music, folk music, and the typical traditional costume of the village. The festival is entirely dedicated to Austrian customs, connects generations, and celebrates rural community life in the idyllic surroundings of Hintersee. Free admission makes the event open and accessible to all.
