Lecture by Johannes Aitzetmüller. Filmmaker and cameraman Johannes Aitzetmüller presents his experiences in the most remote places on Earth. His camera has taken him to the most isolated filming locations of the extremes: in Antarctica, the Arctic, Siberia, Pakistan – and repeatedly in the local Alps. Places that are rugged, hostile to humans, and merciless – where cold, storms, and solitude leave nothing unpunished. And yet, that is precisely their irresistible attraction. The audience experiences what it means to be in such wilderness – with 100-kilo sleds through snow deserts, during avalanche descents without the possibility of rescue, with frozen cameras and crashed drones. But also encounters with indigenous cultures, living together in tents, as well as sporting achievements like first ascents and first descents are part of his stories.
