What's it about?
What You Will by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexander Kratzer, set and costumes by Elisabeth Vogetseder. Premiere: September 12, 2026, at Saal. Performance dates: until October 30, 2026. Orsino loves Olivia. Olivia has forbidden herself to love anyone due to her grief. Viola has lost everything—her twin brother Sebastian and her happiness. She becomes Cesario. And Olivia falls in love with Cesario. Cesario falls in love with Orsino. And what about Malvolio? Because of his love for Olivia, knights Bleichenwang, Sir Toby Rülp, and the chambermaid Maria hatch a special plan. Everything goes topsy-turvy. Who loves whom? Who is who? And who is how? Shakespeare's comedy "What You Will" is a wonderful, erotically sensual approach to the question of whom we love, whom we want to love, and who we truly are. "What You Will" is considered the best romantic comedy of the English master about appearance and reality, deception and sincerity.
