Monuments: Value for everyone. The motto for 2026, Monuments: Value for everyone, highlights the social, cultural, ecological, and economic added value that monuments possess. The motto clarifies that monument protection and preservation are contemporary, vibrant, and future-oriented tasks that are relevant to the entire society and present in everyday life. On Heritage Day, the gates of historical objects that are normally not publicly accessible or only accessible to a limited extent are opened.
