Jedefrau – a contemporary reinterpretation of Hofmannsthal's Jedermann

What's it about?

"JedeFrau" deconstructs Hugo von Hofmannsthal's "Jedermann" from a female perspective, replacing the divine instance with a goddess. Under the direction of Nicholas Monu, Tanja Kuntze and Torsten Hermentin question traditional role models, power structures, and religious narratives. The production spans from historical mechanisms of oppression to digital phenomena such as deepfakes or the manosphere – and shows how Jedermann's supposed order begins to falter.With relentless honesty, the confrontation with waste, privilege, and the marginalization of female experiences is conducted.
