What's it about?

The 100th anniversary of the Volkskunde Museum in the Monatsschlössl in 2024 provided an occasion to take a contemporary look at objects that were part of the first exhibition in the Monatsschlössl in 1924. What aspects were considered when they were collected back then? How do we view this ethnographic collection today? What do we identify with? What has become foreign? The objects displayed in the exhibition have been presented as central items of the collection for up to 100 years.
