The traditional green market, set amidst historic townhouses, is a popular meeting point week after week for those who appreciate the rich and always fresh offerings of direct marketers. In addition to the usual seasonal products, visitors can also enjoy a variety of delicacies here. The green market is visited by many people every Tuesday. Everyone appreciates the rich and fresh selection of goods. The major advantage of this market lies especially in the authenticity of the product range; many direct marketers sell their goods, and consumers can personally inspect and speak directly with the vendors to be convinced of the excellent quality. Moreover, the main square of Ried provides a wonderful setting. The long, slightly curved square has an Old Bavarian hall character, with facades of the townhouses showing clean lines. Its partly Gothic or early Baroque core architecture was given new facades in the 19th century. The beautiful ambiance invites visitors to linger after their visit to the green market.
