Imperial Brunch of the Ischl Kaisertage on August 16th from 12:00 PM. During the Kaisertage from August 11th to 18th, 2026, Bad Ischl will once again transform into a world of imperial nostalgia. On Sunday, August 16th, Hotel Grand Elisabeth invites you to a special culinary event. From 12:00 PM, the hotel's own restaurant "Grande Liberté" awaits with the culinary highlight of the festival week: the Imperial Brunch, ideally on the day when the Kaisertage program takes a breather. At the Imperial Brunch, regional specialties meet international brunch classics and, of course, the sweet creations of the former k. u. k. purveyor to the court and imperial confectioner Zauner. The "Steirer Buam" provide authentic music, and the "Emperor" personally greets guests and offers an iconic photo opportunity. The cost is €49 per person. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are included. The central location of the Grand Elisabeth makes it an ideal starting point for visitors to the Kaisertage. Hotspots such as the Esplanade or the Kaiservilla are only a few minutes' walk away. The Kongress & TheaterHaus, an important venue for the Kaisertage, is directly opposite. After the brunch, which lasts until 3:00 PM, it's only a short walk to the subsequent performance "Der Göttegatte" as part of the Lehár Festival at 3:30 PM. Even outside the Imperial Week, "Grande Liberté" is a highlight of the Ischl dining scene and offers classics such as first-class Tafelspitz, crispy fried chicken, or modern creations such as braised cauliflower or vegan beef tartare. An eventful day can be perfectly concluded in the "Violet Hour" bar with a refreshing "Veilchen-Spritz," the house's signature drink.
