The focus is on the tension between industrial culture and intangible cultural heritage!This year's 3rd Industrial Culture Symposium focuses on the tension between industrial culture and intangible cultural heritage. The focus is on questions about the connections between traditional craftsmanship and industrial development, about innovations that arise from traditional working methods, and about regional production chains - from work in one's own environment to the supplier industry.Specific work traditions and role models between male and female dominated fields of activity and their socio-cultural effects will also be discussed. Another focus is dedicated to the question of how earned income and industrial work structures have shaped lifestyles, family models and social developments.Speakers from Salzkammergut, Upper Austria and the Czech Republic bring different regional perspectives and open up a cross-border dialogue about the past, present and future of industrial culture.Dr. Jetschgo will moderate.
