The Linz University of Art is once again going on a summer retreat, and this time it will be philosophical. The 6th summer retreat of the Linz University of Art, as part of the Salzkammergut Festwochen Gmunden, positions itself as a contemporary exhibition and research format at the interface of art, philosophy, and public space. Temporary artistic works reflecting on language, space, and social responsibility are created in Toscanapark Gmunden and in the adjacent former Thomas Bernhard Archive (the Villa Stonborough–Wittgenstein). The format sets striking cultural landmarks, strengthens Gmunden as a vibrant place for contemporary art, and extends its influence beyond the Traunsee region into international discourse. Once again, the Linz University of Art and the Salzkammergut Festwochen Gmunden demonstrate their diversity and promote international exchange even in more rural regions of Upper Austria.
