Pioneers of Life - The Evolution of Plants

What's it about?

For more than 500 million years, plants have shaped life on Earth. As so-called "light-eaters", they convert light, water and air into biomass, thus creating the basis for almost all life.The current exhibition in the Botanical Garden is dedicated to the evolutionary history of plants and invites visitors to rediscover it - as a story of change, adaptation and survival. Living plants and fossils, as well as eight information panels, illustrate how plant life has unfolded from its origins in primeval times to the present day.Saturday, May 9 - Sunday, August 16Please note: Shortened exhibition period due to planned renovation work - thank you for your understanding!Cost: only admission to the Botanical Garden
